Generator Makes & Models We Repair, Service & Maintain
ProService Generator Repairs works on a wide range of generator makes and models, subject to the generator configuration, the fault and parts availability. A listed brand is a set we service. It is not a manufacturer accreditation.
- Diesel, petrol and supported gas
- Older and current sets
- Data plate is enough to start
- Onsite across Gauteng

By brand
What generator brands do you work on?
The lists below follow the pages already on this site: diesel sets, petrol sets, supported gas and dual-fuel sets, and Leroy-Somer alternators. If a name has a page, the link goes there. The fuel hubs explain the work when you do not yet know the model.
An unknown model is still bookable. The data plate usually carries the make, the model or a serial, the kVA and the voltage. A photo of the plate, the controller and the set is often enough to identify what is in front of us before the visit.
Some names appear under more than one fuel. Generac, Kohler, Cummins, Hyundai, Kipor, Mac Afric, Gentech and Turner Morris are examples. Use the page that matches the fuel in the tank, not only the badge on the canopy.

Before the visit
What information should I send?
Send what you have. A missing model number does not block a booking.
Make
The brand on the canopy or the engine.
Model
From the plate or the manual, if you have it.
kVA
The rating on the data plate.
Fuel type
Diesel, petrol, gas or dual-fuel.
Controller
The panel name, or a photo of the display and any alarm.
Fault
What it does: no start, no power, a shutdown, a noise.
Data-plate photo
The fastest way to identify the set.
Generator photo
The canopy, the engine side and the installation if access matters.
Which generator makes have their own page?
Diesel Generator Brands
Standby and commercial diesel engines and generator sets. Each name links to its own repair page.
Petrol Generator Brands
Portable and smaller standby petrol sets. Honda on this list is petrol. A diesel Honda page is not published.
Gas and Dual-Fuel Generator Brands
Supported LPG, natural-gas and dual-fuel sets. Red Rhino and Steco gas pages cover petrol/LPG machines. Generac, Kohler and Cummins also have separate diesel pages.
Alternator and Electrical Brands
Leroy-Somer is the alternator on many diesel sets. It is not a diesel engine brand.

Common Questions
Questions about generator makes and models
What generator brands do you repair?
A wide range of diesel, petrol and supported gas brands already listed on this site. Work depends on the configuration, the fault and whether parts can be obtained.
Do you repair older generator models?
Yes, when the set can still be diagnosed and parts or a repair path exist. Age alone is not a reason to turn a booking away.
Can you service generators if the exact model is unknown?
Yes. A data-plate photo, the fuel type and the fault are enough to start. The model is confirmed on site if the plate is unclear.
Do you repair both diesel and petrol generators?
Yes. Diesel and petrol are separate fuel systems, so the visit follows the fuel in the set rather than the badge alone.
Can you identify a generator from its data plate?
Usually, yes. The plate carries the rating and identifying marks that a canopy sticker does not.
Do you work on imported generator brands?
Yes, where the set is one we can diagnose and parts can be sourced. Import origin is not a separate service.
Is a listed brand a dealer appointment?
No. ProService Generator Repairs is an independent repair and service company. A brand page is not an authorised-dealer claim.
Where do alternator brands sit?
Leroy-Somer is handled as an alternator, on its own page, because it is the electrical end of a generator set rather than the engine.
