Generac gas generator repairs →Onsite generator repairs, servicing & maintenance across Gauteng
Gas generator specialists
ProService Generator Repairs provides independent repair, servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis for supported LPG generators, natural-gas generators, petrol/LPG dual-fuel generators and automatic standby gas sets, in homes and on commercial sites. Not every gas-generator make or model can be serviced. Fuel configuration depends on the specific generator model.

Natural-gas and commercial gas standby systems. Diesel Cummins content stays off this page.
Cummins →A gas generator technician visit in Gauteng is a diagnosis of the set that is installed. LPG, natural gas and petrol/LPG dual fuel are different configurations. The model decides which one this is.
Starting, electrical, control and output faults on the wider repair service.
Oil, filters and a controlled start for supported gas standby sets.
Planned checks so an automatic standby set is ready between outages.
Modules, alarms and programming on automatic gas sets.
Transfer faults when the set runs and the building stays on mains.
Standby placement and commissioning where a new set is part of the job.
How an onsite gas-generator visit is booked.
Controller alarms, failed auto-start and panel faults.
Battery, starter, ignition, the controller, a fuel-supply symptom, or a shutdown that is already latched.
Fuel supply, sensors, the controller, ignition, or the operating conditions that caused the shutdown.
Controller, ATS or AMF signals, the starting battery, wiring, or a shutdown condition.
AVR, alternator, excitation, breaker and wiring, once the engine is running.
AVR, alternator, engine speed, loading and the control system.
Warnings, shutdowns, maintenance alarms, a failed start, and auto-mode problems. The message on screen is recorded.
Standby sets depend on a battery that can still crank after weeks of sitting.
Airflow, the cooling system, the load, and how the set has been maintained.
Some portable and inverter generators can operate on petrol or on LPG, depending on the model. A dual-fuel fault is often one-sided: the set will not start on LPG, it starts on petrol but not on LPG, or it runs on LPG and will not run on petrol.
Fuel-selection faults, petrol carburettor problems, starting-system faults, electrical output, AVR faults and engine-speed or frequency problems are diagnosed on the set. This is not a guide to converting a generator. Improvised LPG connections and home conversions are not described and are not offered.
Supported natural-gas work covers residential standby, commercial standby, automatic-start systems, control panels, ATS and AMF behaviour, batteries, engine servicing, generator output and scheduled maintenance.
ProService Generator Repairs does not install or certify gas piping. That work belongs with appropriately qualified gas practitioners. The generator visit diagnoses the set.
LPG generator visits cover starting problems, ignition, control faults, and fuel-delivery symptoms at a high level, plus batteries, electrical output, servicing and preventative maintenance.
There are no instructions here for adjusting a regulator, changing gas pressure, or bypassing a safety device. Those are not generator-repair steps for an owner to try.
Generator visits diagnose starting, control and output faults. Gas-supply installation and certification stay with appropriately qualified gas practitioners. Regulator settings, gas pressure, pipework and safety devices are not adjusted or bypassed during a repair.
Other gas-powered sets can be assessed when the model, the fault and parts availability make a visit sensible. The five brands above are the dedicated pages. A brand that is not listed does not get its own page from this section. Size bands are on generator sizes, and every published make is listed on generator makes and models.
