Industrial generators
Industrial Generator Repairs Across Gauteng
Industrial work is the larger diesel set: factories, plants, production sites, large warehouses and heavy standby systems, usually three-phase and asked to carry a serious load. ProService Generator Repairs diagnoses and repairs those machines on site across Gauteng. Offices, retail and complexes stay on the commercial page.

Heavy standby
Industrial diesel generator repairs
The visit is built around a diesel engine and an alternator that are too large to treat as a house call with a small toolbox. Send the kVA, the fuel, the fault and anything that limits access: a plant room, a crane, or a production window. Parts and test gear follow that information.
Faults cluster in a few places. The engine may not start, may not hold speed, or may shut down on temperature or oil. The alternator may not support voltage once the load is real. Fuel restriction shows up under load long before it shows up at idle. Controllers and the ATS decide whether the plant ever gets a start command.
A yard start does not prove an industrial set. Load bank testing is used when the site needs a known load. Maintenance on these machines is hours, cooling, fuel condition and a start that is watched, not only an oil filter on a calendar.

The systems on a large set
Large generator fault diagnosis
Industrial generator alternator repairs
No output, low voltage or a winding fault on a large alternator. Rewinding is only when the tests say the windings failed.
Fuel-system repairs
Filters, air and delivery on diesels that starve as soon as the load arrives. Injection work follows the simple restrictions, and it is not a DIY calibration.
Cooling and overheating
Radiators, coolant and airflow after a long run. A temperature trip under production load is not reset and ignored.
Controllers and ATS
The module and the transfer that should start the set and move a large board. Live gear is not bridged to force a supply.
Voltage and frequency faults
Low voltage, voltage that hunts, and Hz that falls are metered separately. Speed is not “fixed” by raising the AVR.
Load bank testing
A controlled load when the question is capacity of a large set, not only whether it fires.
Preventative maintenance
Hours, batteries, coolant and fuel condition on sets that must be ready for a shift, not only after a failure.
Industrial generator sizes
From the larger commercial band through 500 kVA, 1,000 kVA and above where that is the installation. The plate is the size.
Industrial callouts across Gauteng
The suburb, the kVA and the access. A same-day slot is offered only when one is open. Arrival is confirmed on the call.

Common Questions
Questions about industrial generator repairs
What counts as an industrial generator repair?
Work on a larger diesel set serving a factory, plant, production site, large warehouse or other heavy standby load.
How is this different from a commercial repair?
Commercial is the business premises and its standby set. Industrial is the heavier diesel plant, the higher load, and the access that goes with it.
Do you repair three-phase industrial sets?
Yes. Say it is three-phase and send the kVA so the output checks match the board.
Can you work on the alternator of a large set?
Yes. Output faults are diagnosed first. A rewind is a separate decision when the windings are the failed part.
The set runs unloaded and fails in production. Can you diagnose that?
Yes. Fuel, speed, voltage, cooling and the breaker are tested under load, or on a load bank when that is the safer test.
Do you adjust injection pumps on site as a routine step?
No. Filters and delivery are cleared first. Calibration is not offered as a customer or DIY procedure.
Do you maintain industrial sets, or only attend breakdowns?
Both. A planned maintenance visit is booked separately so the scope is not mixed with an unknown breakdown.
Which areas?
The Gauteng regions, with the visit planned around access on larger sites.
Still unsure what the fault is? Call or WhatsApp 082 057 4605 for onsite diagnosis.
Service Areas
Onsite visits across Gauteng
Technicians travel to the generator. These are the main Gauteng areas. Suburb pages sit under each region.
What to send before we attend
ProService Generator Repairs confirms an onsite visit from these details. Send what you have. A missing model number does not stop the booking.
- Location
- The suburb or site, so the visit can be booked in the right area.
- Make and model
- The generator brand and model, if they are known.
- kVA
- The size printed on the data plate.
- Fuel type
- Diesel, petrol, LPG, natural gas, or dual-fuel.
- Controller model
- The module name on the panel, when it is visible.
- Fault or alarm
- What the set does, and any text on the screen.
- Photos
- The generator, the data plate, and the controller or alarm. Send these on WhatsApp.
