Red Rhino dual fuel
This page is for Red Rhino generators that can run on petrol and LPG, including dual-fuel inverter sets where that is the machine on site. It is not a natural-gas standby page. Fuel configuration depends on the specific model.

Red Rhino dual-fuel work is the visit where one fuel behaves and the other does not. A set that starts on petrol and will not run on LPG, or the other way around, is a fuel-selection and starting problem. It is not a reason to convert the generator at home.
ProService Generator Repairs provides independent repairs. There is no authorised Red Rhino claim. Looking for petrol-only servicing, with carburettor and recoil detail and no LPG operation, belongs on the petrol page.
Petrol no-starts still involve the carburettor, spark and stale fuel. LPG no-starts are a different complaint on a dual-fuel set: the engine may be willing on petrol and silent once LPG is selected. Both are diagnosed. Neither is fixed by telling an owner how to replumb a cylinder.
Electric-start Red Rhino sets add the battery. A flat battery can look like a fuel fault because nothing turns. That is checked before either fuel is blamed.
The selector, the hoses the set was built with, and the way the engine is offered each fuel are inspected as a system supplied with the generator. Improvised LPG connections, regulator tampering and home conversions are not part of the repair and are not described here.
If a set was never built as dual fuel, it is not treated as one. The model decides.
Some Red Rhino dual-fuel sets are inverters. Output complaints on an inverter stay on that output path. A conventional set with an AVR is checked for low, unstable or missing voltage after the engine is running on the fuel that actually works.
No-power is not a fuel-switch job once the engine is clearly running. Breakers and wiring come first.
Servicing covers oil, the plug, the air filter and a start on the fuels that model supports. A set that only gets petrol exercise can still fail the first time LPG is selected. That is noted. It is not solved with a conversion guide.
Dual-fuel symptoms. Natural-gas standby behaviour is not what this brand page is for.
Fuel selection and the LPG side are inspected. Pipework is not modified.
The petrol carburettor and fuel still get their own checks.
Spark, battery or electric start, before either fuel is condemned.
Only when the set on site is an inverter.
AVR or output path once an engine is running steadily.
This page is LPG and petrol together, not petrol-only.
Selection faults are diagnosed. They are not a DIY gas guide.
Inverter output is not assumed from the brand name.
Carburettor-only detail stays on the petrol Red Rhino page.
Dual-fuel Red Rhino visits use the major Gauteng areas. Petrol-only detail stays on the petrol page.

They serviced my Red Rhino dual-fuel unit beautifully, taking the time to teach our staff how to safely switch between LP gas and petrol during emergencies.

Great knowledge of Red Rhino dual-fuel.
Yes. Supported Red Rhino sets that run on petrol and LPG are repaired and serviced independently.
Yes. That split is diagnosed on site. The visit does not include instructions for converting or replumbing the set.
Yes, when the model is built for those fuels. A petrol-only frame is serviced as petrol.
If it does not turn, the battery or recoil is first. If it turns, spark and the fuel that is selected are next.
Yes, when the set is an inverter. Output faults stay on the inverter path rather than a generic AVR swap.
Yes. Low, unstable or missing voltage is checked after the engine is running on a fuel it will hold.
