Steco
Steco petrol generators used as portable and backup sets are diagnosed on site. A no-start, a fuel fault and a dead output are treated as different repairs.

Steco petrol generators are booked when a portable or a small backup set will not earn its keep: it will not start, it starts and fades, or it runs and the sockets stay dead. ProService Generator Repairs traces those without guessing a model specification.
Electrical output is kept separate from carburettor work. A healthy engine with no power is not a fuel job.
For a Steco set that also runs on LPG, see Steco dual-fuel generator repairs.
Steco repairs follow that split. Fuel and spark for a silent engine. Breakers, wiring and the regulator for an engine that is already running.
Routine Steco servicing is oil, the plug and a check that the set will restart. Backup sets get a note on how long the petrol has been standing.
Steco petrol complaints that need a proper split.
No fire, or the rope is not turning the engine.
Fuel flow falls away.
Engine running, no electrical output.
Airflow, oil or a heavy load.
Steco no-start checks cover fuel, the carburettor, spark, the oil switch and the starter. The rope is watched. A free pull with no combustion is not a recoil repair.
Steco fuel faults include stale petrol, blocked jets and a choke that has to stay on. Lines and the tap are inspected. Cleaning is not promised for every carburettor.
Starting-system work is the recoil on most Steco sets, and the battery circuit when an electric starter is fitted. The failed side is named before parts are discussed.
Steco electrical output faults are no voltage and voltage that will not hold. The AVR is one item. A breaker and a loose connection are the others, and they are cheaper to prove.
Moved as needed.
Left ready for an outage.
Pull-start inspection.
Battery circuit only if present.
Steco routine servicing is the visit that finds old fuel and a weak spark before the next outage. It does not include invented service intervals.
A running engine with dead sockets is not a carburettor job.
The machine is inspected. Ratings are not invented.
Both are in scope.
